The following Terms & Conditions apply when customers (hereinafter referred to as “The Customer”) book tours with Happyworld Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Happyworld”) and/or tours sold by Happyworld that are serviced by a 3rd party.

Note that for certain tours, additional tour-specific Terms & Conditions may apply. Some tours/services may require The Customer to sign service-specific waivers on date of departure that contain articles not included herein. The forementioned can also apply for tours sold by Happyworld but serviced by a 3rd party. The Customer is urged to contact Happyworld to enquire if this applies to a tour that The Customer has booked or intends to book. Please e-mail to with such queries.

Entirety of Agreement

The Terms & Conditions set forth herein and, where applicable, in our tour-specific Terms & Conditions, constitute the entire agreement between Happyworld and The Customer and supersede any communications or previous agreements with respect to the subject matter of this Agreement. There are no written or oral understandings directly or indirectly related to this Agreement that are not set forth herein. No change can be made to this Agreement other than confirmed in writing by both parties.

General Conditions and Liability

Happyworld disclaims responsibility for any loss, damage, accidents, illness or changes in schedules caused by weather, strikes or any other irregularity outside Happyworld’s control. Happyworld reserves the right to alter routes or departure times, without prior notice, should the necessity arise. We advise all customers to have insurance, as customers are on their own responsibility on optional tours and some activities may fall outside of the terms of regular travel- and/or accident insurance.

No responsibility is taken for losses or expenses due to delay or changes of flights, injury, damaged, negligence, weather, war or other unforeseeable causes. The estimated duration of tours as indicated on our website are standard times and can vary according to road or weather conditions. Happyworld cannot be made responsible for losses that a customer may face due to delay, regardless whether the loss is direct or indirect.

In cases where Happyworld needs to contact The Customer regarding changes or cancellation of tours, an e-mail is sent to the e-mail address provided by The Customer during the booking process. The Customer is urged to monitor e-mails before scheduled departures. If The Customer is unable to access e-mails and needs other means of communications The Customer is responsible for providing Happyworld with alternative means of communication.

Cancellation and refund Policy

All cancellations by The Customer must be made in writing to

Cancellation/refund terms if cancelled by The Customer:

  1. Cancellation fee of 100% is charged if cancelled 1 day or less before the tour.
  2. If The Customer fails to show up at pickup: No refund.

Cancellation/refund terms if cancelled by Happyworld:

  1. If a tour is cancelled, for any reason at any time, The Customer is eligible for a 100% refund of the ISK amount originally paid.
  2. This does not include tours that are free re-runs (such as after non-sightings Northern Lights tours).
  3. Under no circumstanses is The Customer eligible for a refund in part or full for a tour that was performed.
  4. Happyworld conducts business in the Icelandic Krona (ISK). When purchasing a tour online, Customer is, in effect, entering into an agreement with the bank, that issued Customers credit card, to purchase Icelandic Krona which Customer in turn uses to pay for Happyworld’s services. Happyworld refunds the exact same ISK amount that was paid when tour was booked and is not liable for any lossess incurred by the Customer in the event that the currency exchange rate of Customers currency has changed between time of purchase and time of refund.

If Happyworld cancels a tour for any reason, re-scheduling and/or alternatives may be offered/suggested in an effort to ensure customer satisfaction. The Customer is free to either accept or decline such offers.

If The Customer declines re-scheduling or alternative offers, The Customer receives a 100% refund. Should The Customer accept an offer for an alternative service or re-schedule, the booking has become binding in much the same way as the original booking from the time The Customer accepts such an offer. Thus in case of cancellation by The Customer, the Cancellation/refund terms as stated in these Terms & Conditions do apply.

Cancellation by Happyworld:

Happyworld reserves the right to delay, alter or cancel any tour due to weather or any other unsafe conditions for the safety of our clients. We make our Go/NoGo decision at 18:30 based on the last weather forecast for the evening. If it’s a NoGo due to weather we send you an e-mail. In the event of sudden late weather changes/warnings we may need to cancel last minute, in which case we will send an e-mail. If we cancel your tour because of weather, we can rebook you on our next available tour. Please request a rebooking via e-mail to If we do not manage to take you out at all during your stay you receive a 100% refund.


Note that pickup time is anywhere from 0 to 30 minutes till the stated beginning of tour. If a customer is not present at provided pickup location when our driver-guide arrives, the driver-guide is obliged to continue pickup of other customers and start the tour without the missing customer. This is to avoid delay for other customers. In such case, this is considered a NO SHOW and no refund will be issued.

Non-sightings on tour:

The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon and displays, or their magnitude, can never be guaranteed. Stargazing conditions depend on several factors like cloud cover, humidity and wind. We base our Go/No Go decision on cloud cover and geomagnetic forecasts and only go out when forecasts indicate a high chance of visible Northern Lights. Low level lights count as sightings. If we do not see Northern Lights on your tour, you are eligible for a free re-run any time for a period of two years from the date of the non-sightings tour. Number of free re-run’s is not limited. You may be required to present your original ticket/voucher via e-mail upon requestiong your free re-run. Free re-run right is non-transfearable to a third party. A free re-run tour is subject to availability. I.e. there must be available seats when you notify us via e-mail that you would like to book a re-run and there must be a tour scheduled. In this case you must notify us by e-mail: Re-booking is on a first come, first served basis. Under no circumstances will there be a refund, in full or partial, for a Non-sightings tour.

The undersigned, here after referred to as „Student“, agrees to these terms and conditions by Happyworld ltd. (,,Happyworld“). The student further commits to follow all instructions from instructors on this introductory flight/course. The student also commits to reading these terms carefully and ask Happyworld staff for clarification should something be unclear.

The term „Sport Flight“ in these terms and conditions means all flight related courses/services that Happyworld offers its students and is conducted on light aircraft.

The term ,,Light Aircraft“ in these terms and conditions means paraglider, hangglider, ultralight, microlight, glider/sailplane and paramotor.

These terms and conditions cover all services and courses offered by Happyworld, including Sport Flight and driving to and from course location. These terms and conditions also cover services rendered by Happyworld sub-contractors.

Course description:

The course objective is to offer the student an introduction into sport flying and operation of light aircrafts. The Student will be introduced to the basics of aerodynamics, aviation, weather, and security aspects of operating light aircraft. This course is not sufficient to prepare a Student for flying on his or her own.

Happyworld instructors are all licenced as such by relevant authorities via local clubs that in turn operate in accordance with Icelandic aviation authorities and the World Air Sports Federation (FAI).

Informed participation:

It is solely the responsibility of the Student to decide to partake in Sport Flight activities and the student alone is responsible for his or her decision to do so.

By signing this document, the Student confirms that he/she chose to take an informed decision to partake in sport flying with Happyworld and that he/she alone can be held responsible for that decision whether it is flying alone or with an instructor. Further, the Student confirms that he/she understands and accepts that all flying activity, Sport Flying included, carries with it inherent risks of injury or death.

Obligation to disclose of diseases:

The Student is obligated to disclose of any diseases, both mental and physical, that might impair the Student’s ability to partake in the introductory course. If in doubt the Student should consult a doctor. Happyworld instructors may choose to cancel the course at any moment should they deem it unsafe for the student to fly due to reasons of health.

By signing this document, the Student confirms that he/she is sufficiently healthy both mentally and physically to partake in the course in question.

The Student is responsible for injuries and or damages

The Student is responsible for injuries and or damages that he/she may suffer or cause to others during this course.

By signing this document the Student confirms that he/she is solely responsible for injuries or damages resulting from accidents or incidents on this course, be it property damage or bodily injuries. This applies to accidents or incidents that happen on the ground, on take-off, during landing and in flight.

By signing this document the Student confirms that neither he/she or his/her relatives will under no circumstances take legal action against Happyworld or its instructors or other staff members because of injuries, incidents or damages that the Student might incur on this course and do not derive from culpable conduct of the before mentioned parties. This also covers accidents that lead to fatal injuries to the student.

Happyworld urges Students to have a special travel- and accident insurance that covers Sport Flying but that is not mandatory to partake in Happyworld courses.
